Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HijackShield browser security product and related services ("Service") provided by AiTM Security LLC ("AiTM Security," "we," "our," or "us"). By using HijackShield, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description

HijackShield is a browser security product consisting of a browser extension and a local software agent that detect and block phishing threats in real time. The Service may also include optional enterprise integrations such as Microsoft Sentinel SIEM connectivity and automated phishing email remediation. Detection and scoring run locally on your device.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account and license

Depending on your subscription plan, HijackShield may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and license keys. A license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use HijackShield on the number of devices or seats covered by your subscription plan.

4. Free trial

HijackShield may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial period, your access to paid features will expire unless you purchase a subscription. We will notify you before your trial expires. No payment is required during the trial period.

5. Subscription and payment

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on an annual or monthly basis depending on your plan. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the applicable rate. Prices may change with 30 days' advance notice. Changes apply at the start of your next billing period.

6. Refund policy

We offer a full refund for any reason within the first 30 days of a new subscription purchase. This applies to both consumer and commercial plans. Refund requests should be sent to billing@hijackshield.ai. Refunds after the 30-day period are not available except as required by applicable law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the HijackShield software; use the Service to develop a competing product; share, resell, or sublicense your license without our written consent; attempt to circumvent any licensing or security mechanisms; or use the Service in violation of applicable laws.

8. Intellectual property

HijackShield, including all software, documentation, branding, and related materials, is the property of AiTM Security LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants a license to use the software — it does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

9. No guarantee of detection

While HijackShield is designed to detect and block a wide range of phishing techniques and web-based threats, no security product can guarantee complete protection against all threats. AiTM Security does not warrant that the Service will detect every phishing attempt or prevent all security incidents. The Service is provided as one layer of a comprehensive security strategy.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AiTM Security LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity arising out of or related to your use of the Service. AiTM Security's total cumulative liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to AiTM Security in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AiTM Security LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if your payment method fails and is not resolved within a reasonable period. Upon termination, your license to use HijackShield expires. The browser extension will continue to function in a limited capacity as described in your plan terms. Data stored locally on your device remains under your control.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
